  • Cannon Beach - An easy hour drive to the beach to see the infamous haystack rock. Get fish and chips, play in the water, walk through the cute shops and you can still be back in Portland by dinner. Gets very crowded in the summer and on the weekends.

  • Hood River -

  • Edgefield - a poor farm-turned-hotel on a giant property. They have seven bars, a winery, a distillery, a golf course, a soaking pool, and a movie theater. Great place to stay the night or visit for the day. Very funky casual.
